Debris Removal

Regulatory Documents – No Worries

Probably the most underestimated aspect of marine construction work is the permitting process. Failing to obtain a permit for construction work risks heavy penalties and fines to the contractor and the property owner / manager. We have worked very hard to establish relationships and obtain an extensive understanding of the permitting process through every entity required. Some of the entities that we work with include:

  • The Northeast District of the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for obtaining permitting for bulkheads, dock structures, and dredging.
  • The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) for obtaining permits for dock structures along the intracoastal waterway.
  • The St. Johns River Water Management District for obtaining permits on and along water bodies not governed by the DEP and USACE.
  • Construction permitting for the counties and cities in NE Florida that require permits and inspections.
  • The Environmental Health departments for construction projects located on properties with wells and septic systems.
  • Ponte Vedra Zoning for construction permitting in the “Old Ponte Vedra” area to abide by all rules and regulations set forth by the neighborhood guidelines.
  • All home owners’ associations and architectural review boards to make sure that the projects abide by rules and regulations of the neighborhoods.

We have also established good working relationships with some of the top environmental consultants in NE Florida to hire or collaborate with for even the most significant permitting requirements like land leases and Butler Act requests.
